This is a very very fun place to go with the kids. The Dole Maze the second best part. The Dole dessert was tasty. Loved the Pineapple Express train ride and took lots of good pictures. We had an amazing time. Its a must do trip when you are in Oahu
The only real reason to visit is to get a few snack and coffee items that are hard to find elsewhere. The ice cream is AMAZING. The maze is a nice walk outside in a gorgeous location. It gets crowded quick and parking can be an issue. Get there shortly after opening and you'll be good.
Fun for the family mixed with some education, beautiful grounds, nice food and a huge gift shop. We added this visit to our itinerary after spending the morning at the WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument. An easy drive from Pearl Harbor. The kids and I enjoyed the train ride thru the plantation. Narration provides a great history of pineapple coming to the Hawaiian islands. A great way to spend a few hours or most of a day.
Amazing tourist attraction on Oahu! The pineapple maze and the Pineapple Express are the best attractions at the plantation. The maze is fun for the whole family and everyone works together to solve the maze. The Pineapple Express gives you a detailed history of he plantation and the steps of a Pineapple from seed to fruit. The Dole Whip served there is a little expensive at $5 but it is worth it because it tastes excellent. Overall, this is a must do on any tourist’s trip to the island.
Even though it was raining heavily when we went there, we still had a good time. The train ride is fun and informative as was the pineapple demonstration. There is a surprising amount of pineapple merchandise.
My one tip is to watch out for the pearl people. They're nice enough (and it's fun to watch them open the shells to get the pearls), but they're quick talkers and smooth sales people. If someone offers you a key and you're not in the market to buy a pearl, don't take it. Avoid them. They'll offer you a discount or make generic statements about something being free, but it's not clear as to what that discount actually covers.
