We went there for many years. They welcomed us with open arms. It’s was nice, they said we were family. Was I mistaken. They have a unspoken dresscode that they want everyone to follow. But when I was there they would only tell people the rules once every other year. If you don’t follow them, they think God is still working on you. This is because they believe these rules are what God wants. If you go here and you believe that God wants you as a women to not wear pants, no make up, no jewelry (but you can wear board shorts to the beach), then this is your place they will love you. Great worship. But to worship with people who don’t think highly of you is terrible. The love at Abundant Life is conditional. When I didn’t do what they wanted, I was talked down about and ignored. I even heard someone tell my husband that if he could not take care of his family and control his wife, that he could not lead the youth. After thinking we were family I was sadly mistaken. And if you hear a word from God and the pastor disagrees, you are automatically wrong. Because pastor is always right. Or so they think. Run away from here as fast as you can. With so much military in and out you never can see the true side of things. All the other members are old timers, or friends of the pastors family.
