We had our vehicle there a few months ago and the guy was very polite, fast and did a great job. Will recommend it to anyone!
I went here because the place was recommended by a friend. The guy was friendly on the phone, said to drop in and offered to do extensive checking into my A/C (with freon and a special dye that would show leaks) all for only $45.00. When I got there, the two guys working there acted annoyed that I had walked in while they were having a chummy, manly conversation. The owner insulted me right off for parking one stall over, the only stall, as grass grows in front of his doorway and there is no intuitive place to otherwise park for his driveway. He finally agreed to do the service saying it would take an hour. I came back and at an hour and a half he was finally done. Of course there was no place to sit while waiting the additional half hour. When the technician was viewing the dye, he showed SOME OTHER CUSTOMER standing there the leaks in my A/C condensor using special glasses before offering for me to see my own car. How embarrassing! Then, when the car was done they said to drop by after a week or so to have the dye leaks viewed again for a complete estimate of needed repairs. Because they had been so womanizing, I brought my husband when it was time to check the leaks a week later. When we dropped by as instructed, the owner was bothered to have to stop his work to acknowledge us. When he finally came over, and my husband explained why we were there to get a reading on the dye they had put in my A/C. The owner acted dense, making my husband repeat multiple times why we were there. Then the owner complained, "I can't see you right now!" Finally he said he had another car waiting after he finished the one he was working on, but could see ours in 15 minutes. No duh! We knew stopping by, we would have to wait. Couldn't he just have said the order of things rather than act like a conceited jerk? "Sure, leave the car with me and I should have it done in an hour." or "I can get to it after I finish up with the two cars in front of you." Simple. We asked if we should leave the car where it was parked, and he barked at us condescendingly to park it out on the street. When we returned an hour later, rather than simply tell us what they found they shoved an estimate at us. Clearly, I wouldn't bother giving any more of my money to these guys, condoning their narcissism. Real jerks! Better to just roll down your windows than get your A/C serviced by these people.
Looking for a great auto guy for your air conditioning problems? I was told about Matt at Sunset Auto Repair, but Kawamata Brothers in Haleiwa. My air conditioning in my Nissan Frontier was acting up, and with the Humid weather lately, it was brutal. Took my truck to Matt, when down the street for Breakfast at Zippy's, and two hours later he had my car blowing cool air again. And on top of that, the bill was so reasonable. If you live in the North Shore, Waialua, Wahiawa area, he is your man.
